It should be simple to live a happy life however we get curve balls often that we are not prepared for. This is why it is even more important to make sure that we have stability in our lives and consistent happiness and I am going to tell you how to do it. Happy is defined as “feeling of pleasure” so it is literally anything that brings you joy! Keep that in mind when thinking of what you want to add into your life.
You should not allow anything into your life that will not bring you happiness long term! You should not settle for less than you deserve.
10 Simple Tips To Have A Happy Life
Embrace Who You Are
Express gratitude for who you are and what you have each day. You will be amazed at what you become aware of within yourself and how others lives depend on you for the things you think are insignificant.

You can journal, speak affirmations over yourself or simply end your day by identifying 5 things that you were grateful for, small or big.
Though it can be difficult you must place value in people not things to gain actual enjoyment in life. People can evolve, be emotional and attune to your needs in ways that “things” cannot.
It is also important to note that you cannot put money before people, that includes you! You should not put yourself in a situation when you feel that you have to do something or be someone for the sake of money or things.
One of the best, yet simple things I have done is travel! I have rarely felt remorse or regret for not going somewhere, because I go!
Where there is a will, there is a way, and I will find that way! Traveling helps create character and develop an appreciation for what you have back home. It is nice to get away, take a much needed break and return with a new outlook on life.
As though you have not heard this before, setting goals and reaching them brings about a new appreciation for your hard work. Whether it is a small or larger goal it does not diminish that you accomplished something that you set out for yourself to do.
Setting short term and long term goals help to develop an appreciation for where you were, as well as excitement for where you are going. Be sure you set SMART goals to ensure they are attainable!
Let It Go
While you should remember how someone made you feel, you should also move forward with your life. By holding a grudge on someone for something they did (or didn’t do) will not bother the person, but will be a heavy burden for you to carry.
That burden is not yours to carry. You will have a happy life if you learn from situations and are able to give yourself permission to move forward, without closure or an apology.
You have got to care for you before you divide yourself out to the world to have a happy life. By setting healthy boundaries and being strict about your time, you will notice an improvement in mood!
I have so many tips for self care you can read here but the most important thing to remember is that self care is anything that brings you joy. However, if you do not make time to practice self care, you will find it more difficult to have a happy life, like you want.
Live In The Moment
Though anxiety may try to tell you differently, you are not in control of everything! You cannot change the past or predict the future. What you can do is live in the moment and have fun with it!

Happiness looks different for everyone, do not feel pressured to adjust your vision for someone else. When you know what makes you happy it makes it easier to have a happy life!
Identify what makes you smile, laugh, what moments you enjoy and the people you love most. Spend an abundance of time doing those things and you will rarely waste time in life.
