You should use these 10 songs to listen to when depressed! When in a depressed mood it can be difficult to be productive, social or just fill your basic needs for yourself. What is easier in that moment is to listen to music!
A large amount of people identify music as a coping skill for low moods. I am one of them. I often listen to music for focus, anxious symptoms, depressive symptoms and just to have fun.
Music has been known to decrease pain, and evoke an emotional response that relaxes and soothes you. Music also has benefit for anxiety, speech, pain, and dementia (read more about that here).
I have noticed in many round up post regarding music, a lot of the songs are sad. I am one of the individuals that if I listen to “sad” music, it is hit or miss. At times, I feel that the artist resonates with me and my situation and it helps me feel as though I am not alone. However, other times I feel that I felt better before I listened to the song!
For this reason, I have decided to round up a list of 10 “medium to happy” (as I like to call them) songs. Some songs will resonate with you and others will remind you that you are amazing, beautiful and worth all life has to offer!

2) Songs To Listen To When Depressed: “Just The Way You Are” By Bruno Mars
My guy Bruno! Bruno goes feature by feature on his lady to expose all that she thinks is less than and remind her of why he loves her. The message I like to take away from this song is that what we see as a negative within ourselves that we hone in on , are the most beautiful features to others.

Besides the fact that the beat is so catchy and makes you want to bop! This song is about opening yourself to all of life’s possibilities to include love. 10) Songs To Listen To When Depressed: “I Know I Can” By Nas
Nas was definitely “that guy” when he released this single at just the right time! After listening to this song you will feel a demand for you to get up, get out and do better for yourself. Of course, I love that he sends a positive message to both girls and boys about straying from drugs, the wrong crowd and finding love within yourself. We are never to old to learn this lesson!
